Assistant Accountant

An established and growing SME in the construction sector is seeking a motivated and ambitious AAT or Part Qualified Accountant to join its finance team in Bradford. The Role Reporting to the Financial Director, the Assistant Accountant will support the production of monthly management accounts and provide financial insight to aid decision-making. This office-based position offers excellent exposure across the full finance function and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as studies progress. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accountsCIS and VAT returnsPreparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepaymentsReconciling balance sheets and assisting with month-end closeProviding financial analysis to support business decisionsAssisting with cashflow reporting and project costingContributing to ad-hoc projects within finance and operationsCandidate Profile Previous experience in a finance role, either in industry or practiceStrong analytical and Excel skills, with attention to detailExcellent communication skills and a proactive approachA clear desire to progress within management accounting, ideally in an SME environmentIf you are interested in this Assistant Accountant opportunity or would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Richard Warwick at IPS Finance.
