Assistant Accountant

Your new companyHays are proud to be supporting a well-established and growing organisation in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 8am - 4.30pm. The organisation offers hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The offices are based in Rosyth and can be accessed by local public transport and there is also on-site parking. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team within a business that offers a supportive culture, hybrid working and a strong benefits package.Your new roleReporting to the Senior Accountant and working as part of a collaborative finance function, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information. This is a varied position with exposure to core financial accounting processes and reporting.Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:Supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processesPreparing and posting journals including accruals and prepaymentsPerforming balance sheet reconciliationsAssisting with VAT returns and complianceSupporting the preparation of financial statements and audit requirementsConducting data analysis and reporting on financial performanceAssisting with budgeting and forecasting processesMaintaining strong financial controls and supporting process improvementsLiaising with internal stakeholders and external auditorsAd hoc reporting and finance support as ..... full job details .....
