Assistant Accountant

Your new company A well-established and dynamic organisation is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified finance professional looking to take on a varied role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to support key business decisions. Salary is available up to £40,000 depending on experience. Your new role As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the wider finance function in delivering accurate financial information, helping to drive business performance and ensure financial controls are maintained. You will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders, providing analysis, reporting, and support across a range of accounting activities.Key responsibilities include: Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting. Ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of financial transactions. Preparing and analysing balance sheet reconciliations and financial estimates. Working closely with operational teams to resolve accounting and financial queries. Producing ad hoc reports, analysis, and insights to support business decision-making. Supporting finance systems administration, process improvements, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Assisting with the development and support of junior team members where required.
