Assistant Accountant

Your new company
I am working with a thriving national business based in Chorley who are now looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis. This is a newly created position which has been created due to continued growth within the business.

Your new role
As Assistant Accountant, you will manage the company cashbook and petty cash, reconcile company bank accounts. You will process and deal with all debtors and creditors, ensuring transactions are valid and reconciled, maintain the company''s fixed asset register, processing prepayments, accruals, VAT, supplier reconciliations and bank reconciliations. You will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager, where you will gain further exposure to management accounting. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday and fully based on-site.

What you''ll need to succeed
To be successful for this position, you will have worked in a similar position recently and be able to hit the ground running. You must be incredibly organised, be able to manage your own workload with a self-starter attitude and be confident picking up new systems. Excel skills, including VLOOKUP''s and pivot tables are essential for this role, and ideally have worked on SAP or another ERP system.

What you''ll get in return
In return for this, you will be offered a full-time salary between -30,000 - -35,000 per annum. Alongside this, you are offered a range of benefits including:
