Assistant Accountant - 30-35k - hybrid working - based in QuintonMain Purpose of the roleThe Assistant Accountant will provide vital support to the finance team by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, contributing to cash flow reporting and variance analysis. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of day-to-day accounting activities.Primary Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements, supplier and customer accounts, and other balance sheet items. Support the production of monthly and weekly cash flow reports, including the collection and analysis of relevant data. Help ensure all financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Assist with the preparation of supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews. Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary information and resolve discrepancies. Carry out ad-hoc finance tasks as required by the Finance Manager. Assist in preparation, review and analysis of the monthly management accounts for the Group Company, including profit and loss reports, providing commentary and analysis.
