Assistant Accountant Liverpool City Centre Full-time Permanent Hybrid Working We''re working with a well-established organisation based in Liverpool who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for an AAT studier who already has hands-on accounts experience and is keen to continue developing their technical skills within a supportive, professional environment.You''ll be involved across the month-end process, reconciliations, VAT and management reporting, giving you genuine exposure to core accounting.The RoleReporting into the Finance Manager, you''ll support the preparation of monthly accounts and play an active part in the day-to-day running of the finance function. Responsibilities will include:Posting month-end journals, accruals and prepaymentsPreparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliationsAssisting with monthly management accounts and ad-hoc reportingPreparing and submitting VAT returnsBank reconciliations and support with treasury activityIntercompany reconciliations and recharge invoicingSupporting budgeting, forecasting and commission calculationsAssisting with year-end processes and statutory auditSupporting payment runs and general ledger queriesAbout YouThis role will suit someone who is studying AAT (or equivalent) and is looking to move their career forward in a well-rounded accounts role.You''ll ideally have:Current or recent experience in an assistant accountant / accounts assistant positionPractical ..... full job details .....
