Asset Manager - Energy from Waste Power Station

Astute''s Power Team is exclusively partnered with an independent power producer to recruit for an Asset Manager to join their team in Fife overseeing the operations and maintenance performance of an Energy from Waste Power Station.
The Asset Manager role comes with a basic salary of up to -85,000 + up to 20% bonus + other excellent benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Board, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring full compliance with SHEQA requirements by enforcing legislation, health and safety procedures, and the pollution prevention and controls permit
- Fulfil obligations under the Management Services Agreement (MSA) and oversee compliance with key Project Documents
- Drive plant performance optimisation in collaboration with the O&M contractor, safeguarding the plant''s short- and long-term interests.
- Oversee lifecycle activities including planning, execution, review, and value assessment.
- Contribute to annual business planning, forecasting, and performance tracking with the Board and Lenders.
- Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews with the Board, escalating key issues and seeking guidance when required
- Act as the main contact for outreach, communications, and the Community Liaison Committee, building credibility with local stakeholders (Council, SEPA, College, community, and industry).

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Ideally degree educated in an engineering subject (not a necessity though)
Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge
The Asset Manager role would suit someone who has:
- Prior experience working in the Power Generation sector - ideally solid fuels such as Energy from Waste, Biomass or Coal
- A result focussed, team player, who can demonstrate experience of working in a leadership role as part of a small team in a similar environment.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to produce reports on complex issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of identifying and drive business improvements
