Assembly technician Location: Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire Job type: Permenant, Full timeSalary: Up to 30,000 per annum The role We are recruiting an Assembly Technician on behalf of a business based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is a hands-on, precision-focused role within a regulated manufacturing environment, contributing to the assembly and testing. You will work from controlled work instructions and SOPs, carrying out fine electromechanical assembly, testing, and commissioning to the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Main responsibilities Assemble, test, and commission integrated electromechanical assemblies using pre-defined instructions Carry out precision assembly of small electromechanical components including fasteners, connectors, and fine sub-assemblies to defined torque and quality standards Record test results and build issues accurately and maintain manufacturing records and travellers Identify and escalate non-conformances and deviations as required Work in accordance with controlled work instructions, SOPs, and quality system requirements Carry out basic fault finding using defined test procedures Support engineers with structured root cause investigations Skills/experience Proven experience carrying out fine manual assembly work requiring steady hands, good hand-eye coordination, and sustained concentration Cable assembly skills including use of crimp tools, wire cutters, and associated hand tools Proven practical experience of high-tech assembly ..... full job details .....
