About the Role
As an Assembly Technician, you will join the mechanical and electrical production team in Barrow-in-Furness, building electrical connector pins for subsea oil and gas tree systems. This permanent role involves mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, measurement, and production process control. You will maintain tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal operation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and modern manufacturing principles. Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, testing, and manufacture is essential, along with the ability to read blueprints. Precision electrical tasks include wire preparation, crimping, and harness termination. A solid understanding of hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical systems is required. The salary ranges from £30,000 to £42,000 per annum, with full-time hours.
