Job Responsibilities
- Assemble components and sub-assemblies accurately in line with work instructions and build specifications.
- Carry out mechanical assembly tasks, ensuring correct fit, alignment, and functionality.
- Use hand tools and basic workshop equipment safely and effectively to complete assembly activities.
- Perform quality checks during and after assembly to ensure products meet required standards.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or assembly issues promptly to the relevant team.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with 5S and housekeeping expectations.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including safe working practices and correct PPE usage.
- Support continuous improvement by suggesting practical ways to improve efficiency and quality.
- Complete production documentation accurately, including batch/traceability records where required.
Required Skills andamp; Qualifications
- Previous experience in an assembly or production environment (manufacturing or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances and clear instructions.
- Competence using hand tools and basic workshop equipment safely and accurately.
- Good understanding of quality principles, including in-process checks and defect identification.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation such as work instructions and assembly procedures.
- Basic understanding of mechanical assembly methods and correct component handling.
- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach to working on the shop floor.
- Commitment to health and safety, including following risk controls and using PPE correctly.
- Willingness to learn and develop, with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).
- Any recognised training in health and safety or manufacturing processes (desirable).
