About the Role
The Assembly Technician role in Aberdeen involves working within a comprehensive in-house test facility, focusing on precision engineering tasks. This contract position requires experience in mechanical testing, validation, and verification of components and products. Responsibilities include assembly, disassembly, test equipment maintenance, calibration, environmental screening, modification, troubleshooting, and repair. Candidates should possess an ONC, HNC, NVQ, or City & Guilds level 3 in mechanical engineering, ideally from an apprenticeship. Proficiency with measurement tools like micrometres, megohmmeters, and gauges is essential. Experience with Well Intervention tools and industry-specific equipment is advantageous. The salary ranges from £17 to £26 per annum.
Test technician with good all round precision engineering mechanical test validation and verification experience required to join a comprehensive in house test facility. Component, product, mechanical testing, assembly and disassembly experience ideally with test equipment maintenance, calibration, environmental screening, modification, troubleshooting and repair skills will be put to great use in this role.
Previous experience in a mechanical apprenticeship, ONC or HNC in engineering, NVQ or CandG level 3 in mechanical engineering is required ideally with.
Proficient in the use of measurement equipment such as micrometres, megohmmeter, gauges etc . Advantageous to have industry experience with tools ideally in Well Intervention
