Laser Expertise is looking for an experienced and reliable Assembly Team Leader to lead our busy Assembly department.
This is a hands-on position, so you will work alongside the team while ensuring jobs are completed safely, correctly and on time.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Assembly team.
- Allocate daily workloads and monitor progress.
- Assemble fabricated metal components using hand and power tools.
- Read and work from engineering drawings.
- Check completed work meets the required quality standards.
- Help train and support new and existing team members.
- Identify and report any production or quality issues.
- Ensure the department remains clean, organised and safe.
- Work with other departments to meet production deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous assembly experience within manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience leading or supervising a small team.
- The ability to read basic engineering drawings.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach.
- A positive and reliable attitude.
Previous experience assembling sheet metal or fabricated products would be an advantage.
