Assembly Team Leader

Assembly Team Leader Hours: 39.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 08 30 Friday: 08 00 Break: 30 minutes The Role We are looking for an experienced Assembly Team Leader to organise and lead the day-to-day activities of an Assembly team. You will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved safely, on time and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will organise workloads, monitor performance, support employees and quickly escalate any issues that could affect production. Key Responsibilities as a Assembly Team Leader: Plan and allocate daily workloads in line with production schedules and deadlines. Set clear priorities, job timings and output expectations for the team. Monitor progress throughout the shift and take action when production falls behind target. Carry out first-off and regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications. Identify and contain quality issues, arranging rework where required. Lead daily team briefings and communicate priorities, changes and potential issues. Support, coach and train team members, including new starters. Monitor team productivity, attendance, timekeeping and working standards. Identify delays, bottlenecks, material shortages and opportunities to improve efficiency. Maintain accurate production, quality and performance records. Escalate issues affecting quality, staffing, materials, output or deadlines to the line manager promptly.
