We have a temporary role available within-DS-Smith''s Smethwick-site to help support a Christmas project.-

Role: Assembly Operative-

Location:-DS-Smith, Summit Crescent,-Smethwick,West Midlands.-B66-1BT

Rate:--13.87ph

Contract length:-21st-October 15th-December-

Shift Patterns:Monday - Thursday-8am-4pm-and Friday-8am-3pm

Start:-21st- October-

-Responsibilities:

• Assembly of cardboard boxes, profiling,-glueing, stapling.
• Reporting to the Shift Team Leader and following their direction as required
• Ensuring the quality of product produced is to-DS-Smith standards
• Helping the team to achieve productivity goals and being part of improvement initiatives-
• Maintaining highest possible standard of housekeeping-
• Adhering to UK Health and Safety at all times and encouraging others to do the same-

Essential requirements:

• Good level of verbal and written communication
• Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
• Ability to conduct manual handling and be standing for long periods of time-
• Proactive nature and ability to work upon own initiative-
• Flexibility towards shift work and overtime-
• Own safety shoes/boots or trainers-
