Barker Ross is currently looking for a skilled Assembly Operative.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing parts for assembly, including assembling sub-components and integrating sub-assemblies to complete the final product. Primarily, you will assist in the construction of irrigation rigs and other equipment, following established procedures and quality standards.
The successful candidate should be comfortable using basic hand tools for bolting and screwing parts together, as well as power tools such as angle grinders, presses, and pillar drills. Experience with pneumatic tools (e.g., drills, hand taps) is also required.
The role requires good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A strong focus on safety for yourself and your team is essential. Training and support will be provided,
Working hours are Monday to Friday:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent timekeeping and attendance. You should have strong attention to detail, be adaptable, and maintain a positive attitude. The role is physically demanding and involves working outdoors.
