ASSEMBLY OPERATIVE

PERMANENT

£ 25,000 or £12.63 p/h

HUDDERSFIELD/BRIGHOUSE AREA

SHIFT 6am to 3pm Mon to Thurs 6am to 11.45am Friday

37 1/2 hour week

Due to on-going growth, our client, a large manufacturing business with a solid reputation, are looking to recruit a well versed assembly operative to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role will consist of....

• Assembling a range of hoses to a high-quality standard
• Checking components are correct to order before assembling.
• Working to written instructions and adhering to manufacturing tolerances
• Using various types of machinery to complete the assembly build.
• Understanding and working in accordance with the company H&S directives
• Identifying continuous improvements as part of the team objective
• Operate within the boundaries of the company quality system to ensure the requirements of the company accreditations are supported.

You......

• Previous working experience in manufacturing environments
• Be methodical and thorough.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy of measurement and data recording while working with tape measures and verniers.
• Good attitude towards managers and co-workers
• Be able to work overtime as required.
• Must be a team player.
• Previous experience within mechanical engineering and an understanding of pressure and flow would be an advantage.
• Technical Ability
• Respect customer delivery expectations by maintaining a well organised workflow and work environment.
• Be able to work in both metric and imperial measurement systems.

The successful assembly operative will comply with the company environmental, health, safety and sustainability policies, you will ensure quality products are produced, demonstrate a positive attitude to training and your personal development. You will carry out and document all correct quality checks and complete all relevant paperwork.
