Mechanical Assembly Operative / Workshop TechnicianLocation: Derby Rate: £15.69p/h PAYE Contract: 3 Month Rolling Shift: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 4:30We re looking for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a busy engineering workshop supporting the build of bespoke conveyor and product handling systems, primarily used within food manufacturing environments.This is a hands-on role working as part of a skilled workshop team, preparing and assembling components to a high standard in line with engineering drawings.Key Responsibilities: De-burr and finish machined componentsCarry out basic drilling, tapping, and part preparationAssemble mechanical components and sub-assembliesWork from engineering drawings and instructionsMaintain quality standards across all work Requirements: Previous experience in a mechanical assembly or workshop environmentStrong de-burring and component finishing skillsConfident using hand and power toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience with drilling or basic machining operationsGood attention to detail and quality-focused approach Benefits: 3-month rollingEarly finish FridaysOvertime opportunities I am looking to speak to talented Assembly Operatives who are looking for a rewarding and highly challenging position.
