The role involves fitting and assembling mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems within a structured production environment, with a strong focus on quality, safety and efficient build methods. Key Responsibilities Fit and assemble fabricated parts and sub-assemblies. Set up hydraulic and electrical systems, including pressure testing. Install hydraulic and pneumatic pipework, valves, pumps and motors. Lay, connect and secure wiring looms and complete basic electrical checks. Carry out fault diagnosis, dismantling and replacement of defective components. Fit mechanical fixings, hydraulic adapters, electrical plugs and terminals accurately. Use air tools, socket sets and other appropriate workshop equipment safely. Support engineering changes and BOM variance activity where required. Maintain high standards of build quality, housekeeping and safe working. Experience Required Technical apprenticeship, engineering training or strong practical assembly/fitting experience.
