Assembly Fitter

Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk
Hours: 07:00-15:30 (40 hours)
Salary: -13.50ph+ (WEEKLY PAY) & regularly overtime available

We are seeking an Assembly Operative to join our team in a mechanical role. Previous experience within the automotive industry would be highly beneficial.

The position offers a starting pay of -13 per hour, with full training provided. Overtime is frequently available and paid at enhanced rates. Following a successful probation period, there will be a salary review with the potential for an increase.

In this role, you will report directly to the Production Supervisor and assist in the assembly of engines, using a range of hand and power tools.

Duties: -

• Complete assembly of mechanical, electrical & hydraulic components by reading engineering drawings
• Operating various hand, air, and power tools to manufacture machinery in a timely manner
• Perform component re-work as and when needed
• Responsible for picking parts to a pick list accurately
• Supporting the rest of the team by testing and preparing parts for final dispatch

Ideally you will have a manufacturing background with some form of engineering qualification. Or have worked in a similar production role that involves mechanical assembly.
