Assembly fitter

Car Transporter Fitter - Gosfield, Essex - -12.65 - -15.50 (DOE) - Temp to Perm

A specialist manufacturing company in Gosfield is seeking a Car Transporter Fitter to join their growing team. You''ll be working closely with a small, skilled group of fitters, responsible for taking a painted trailer structure through to a fully operational car transporter.

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am - 1:30pm

What you''ll be doing:

• Fitting hydraulic, pneumatic, and brake systems
• Installing moving vehicle decks into new-build car transporters
• Carrying out electrical installations
• Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
• Using hand tools for mechanical assembly and repair
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards

What we''re looking for:

• Previous experience in vehicle/trailer fitment or automotive is preferred (training provided)
• Strong mechanical background and aptitude
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly and repair techniques
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrics
• Confident in reading technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to health & safety and maintaining a clean workspace
