SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Barking and Dagenham

Are you a Learning Support Assistant looking to gain valuable experience supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a caring, compassionate and motivated Aspiring Nurse to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a special school in Barking and Dagenham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Aspiring Nurse who wants to develop practical skills in care, communication and supporting individuals with additional needs while gaining experience relevant to a future nursing career.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Barking and Dagenham, you will work alongside teachers and other professionals to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning.
Providing one-to-one and small-group assistance.
Helping children develop communication, social and independence skills.
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Supporting pupils with autism, learning difficulties and other additional needs.
Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment.
