Are you passionate about supporting learners with Special Educational Needs?

A specialist built school based in Chichester is looking for a dedicated Aspiring Educational Psychologist/Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join the team now! You will support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many of the children also have a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety, and Speech and Language delay.

Through this Aspiring Educational Psychologist/SEN TA role you will gain excellent practical experience with SEN pupils in a relevant field, before you take your next step. This role in Chichester will give you experience working with vulnerable pupils, increasing their engagement, attainment and life chances. So, if you are a gradute wanting to pursue a career in Child/Education Psychology, are an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist, or have been thinking about Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language, then this role is for you!

You will be instrumental in providing consistency, and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

Person Specification for a Aspiring Educational Psychologist/SEN TA:

  • Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Approachable, and able to build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict
  • High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work
  • Able to commute to Chichester


**October or ASAP start, trial days taking place to ensure the role and school is right for you
**Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
**-93105 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, term time only
**No previous experience is required
