SEN Teaching Assistant - ASD Specialist School - Lewisham September Start Full-Time Temp to Perm OpportunityAre you someone who does not panic when things get challenging? Do you have the patience, resilience and personality to support young people with Autism and complex needs?Remedy Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Lewisham who are looking for strong, reliable and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join them from September.This is not a basic classroom support role. You will be helping children and young people with ASD, complex needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour develop the skills they need for everyday life. The right person will be calm under pressure, emotionally resilient and genuinely passionate about making a difference.The role will involve:Supporting pupils with Autism and complex SEN needs on a 1:1 and small group basisHelping pupils build confidence, independence and life skillsSupporting behaviour management in a calm and consistent wayAssisting with personal care where requiredHelping pupils regulate emotions and engage with learningWorking closely with teachers, therapists and support staffSupporting pupils who may display physical or challenging behaviourCreating a safe, structured and positive environmentThe school is particularly interested in people with backgrounds such as:Residential support workers for children or young people with SENSupport workers specialising in Autism, learning difficulties or ..... full job details .....
