Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited environmental consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor to join a highly respected organisation with a strong reputation for technical excellence, quality, and compliance. You''ll work across a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and public sector projects throughout Manchester and the wider North West.

The Role
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality asbestos surveying services across a diverse portfolio of client sites.
Working independently while benefiting from the support of an established technical and operational team, you''ll ensure surveys are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with HSG264, current asbestos legislation, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a range of property and site types
Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports
Working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and public sector environments
Managing your own diary and workload effectively
Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site representatives
Maintaining accurate electronic records and survey documentation
Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and internal quality procedures
What We''re Looking For
BOHS P402 qualification (essential)
Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor
Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation
Experience working within a UKAS-accredited environment is desirable
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Ability to manage a field-based workload independently
Professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
