Overview
We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our team, responsible for assessing and evaluating land, buildings, and other structures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction-related skills, enabling them to provide accurate measurements and assessments. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects meet regulatory standards and are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed surveys of land and structures using specialised equipment.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of survey results, including maps and reports.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met.
- Assess the condition of buildings and infrastructure, identifying any necessary repairs or improvements.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for various tasks related to surveying and construction activities.
- Apply knowledge of carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical systems, and fabrication as needed during assessments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all surveying activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in surveying or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and techniques, including carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical experience, and fabrication.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the construction industry.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for interpreting survey data.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues alike.
