Asbestos surveyor

Astute People are currently recruiting for experienced Asbestos Surveyors and to join an established, independent asbestos consultancy due to a strong and ongoing workload across London, the M25 and wider South East.

The roles are predominantly field-based across London, the M25 and South East, with a day rate of -250320 depending on experience and role. This is an initial contract with the potential to go permanent after approximately 3 months.

Responsibilities and duties of the Asbestos Surveyor roles

You''ll be predominantly field-based, working across a mixture of commercial and domestic properties. The business has a strong pipeline of work, with contractors consistently busy and additional resource required to keep up with demand.

• Carry out asbestos surveys across a range of commercial and domestic properties.
• Identify and assess asbestos-containing materials.
• Take samples and produce accurate reports.
• Work in line with UKAS, H&S and company procedures.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

• P402 or RSPH equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months'' asbestos surveying experience across a range of property types.
• a full UK driving licence, good H&S awareness and strong communication skills.
• Dual-qualified Surveyor/Analysts are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Asbestos Surveyor roles would suit someone who is:

• Experienced working independently in field-based environments.
• Confident working across commercial and domestic properties.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow UKAS, H&S and company procedures.
• A strong communicator who can maintain positive client relationships.
• Accurate and organised when sampling, testing and producing reports.
• Flexible to undertake some night work, overtime and weekend rota work depending on project requirements.

• -250320 per day, depending on experience and role.
• Consistent workload across London, the M25 and South East.
• Potential contract-to-permanent opportunity after approximately 3 months.
• Company van available, including lab-fitted vehicles for Analysts.
• Mileage included within the day rate; trains, congestion charges and other agreed expenses covered separately.
• Initial office-based training and induction.
