AS400 / IBM Support Specialist 3-Month Temporary Contract Hours: Mond-Frid (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm) Based in Thornbury 18 - 25 per hour (Depending on experience) We are looking for a hands-on AS400 / IBM i Support Specialist to join an established team on an initial 3-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys investigating problems, getting to the root cause and finding practical, long-term solutions. The Role You''ll act as a specialist point of support for AS400 / IBM system issues, independently investigating problems and identifying ways to improve system performance and business processes. You''ll be responsible for: Investigating and resolving AS400 / IBM i system issues Writing and enhancing reports and SQL queries Analysing and validating data Troubleshooting system and process failures Documenting findings and providing clear recommendations Developing sustainable solutions to improve processes What We''re Looking For Strong AS400 / IBM i knowledge Good SQL and report writing skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability The confidence to investigate issues independently Experience with data analysis and system processes Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment would be an advantage.
