Art Technician - SouthwarkSouthwark, South London Start: October 2026 End: July 2027 Full-time Long-termEmpowering Learning are currently looking for an Art Technician to join a secondary school in Southwark from October, supporting the Art Department through to the end of the academic year.This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Art, Design, Art and Textiles or a similar creative subject who enjoys working in a school environment and supporting both teachers and students.The RoleAs an Art Technician, you will work closely with the Art Department to make sure lessons run smoothly and students have access to the equipment and materials they need.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing materials, equipment and resources for Art lessonsSupporting teachers during practical lessonsSetting up and clearing away classrooms and workshopsMaintaining and organising art equipment and materialsHelping students use equipment safely and appropriatelyKeeping art rooms clean, tidy and well organisedSupporting with displays and student artworkMonitoring stock levels and ordering materials when requiredCarrying out basic maintenance and preparation of materialsProviding general support to the Art Department when neededAbout YouThe school is looking for someone who is:Experienced in an Art, Design or creative environmentIdeally experienced working in a school or educational settingConfident using a range of art materials and equipmentOrganised and able to manage ..... full job details .....
