Contract: Full time - September start
Salary: andpound;162 - andpound;223 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver creative, inclusive Art and DT lessons that captivate and inspire pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Foster a positive, sensory-friendly learning environment where every student feels safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning styles, EHCP goals, and differentiated outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including TAs, therapists, and SENCOs, to support holistic development.
- Maintain a well-equipped, engaging classroom, full of texture, tools, and imagination!
- Track and assess progress, celebrate successes (big and small), and communicate effectively with families and carers.
Qualifications andamp; Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
- Experience working in SEN environments or a keen interest in special education (previous experience with SEMH, ASD, or MLD learners is a plus).
- Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design Technologyandmdash;bonus points for creative flair and hands-on practical skills!
- An understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management in a specialist setting.
- Compassion, flexibility, and a sense of humourandmdash;youandrsquo;ll need all three!
