Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a progressive and inclusive secondary school inandnbsp;Great Missendenandnbsp;to recruit a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time position running until December 2025, with a strong potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate will join a well-established Art department and take responsibility for delivering inspiring and engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity to nurture creativity, encourage artistic exploration, and develop studentsandrsquo; skills across a variety of media and techniques.
Applications are warmly welcomed from qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as well as unqualified teachers with relevant secondary Art teaching experience.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging, imaginative Art lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students
- Foster creativity, independent thinking, and self-confidence in learners
- Track and evaluate student progress, offering clear and constructive feedback
- Create and sustain a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
- Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities, exhibitions, and art clubs
The ideal candidate will:
- Degree in Art, Fine Art, or a closely related discipline (essential)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification (preferred)
- Proven experience teaching Art at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Creative, flexible, and passionate about inspiring students through art education
- Excellent classroom management and strong organisational abilities
