We are seeking an inspirational and creative Art Teacher to join a secondary school setting on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity and self expression.
The successful candidate will support students in developing their artistic skills across a range of disciplines, helping them to achieve strong outcomes while fostering a passion for the subject. Applications are welcomed from both Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers.

The Art, Design and Technology department is well established and successful, offering a wide range of creative subjects. At Key Stage 4, students can specialise in areas such as Fine Art, Photography, and Textiles. Staff work collaboratively within a supportive team environment to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum.
Key Responsibilities• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Inspire creativity and encourage students to explore different artistic disciplines
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching where required
• Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
• Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents or carers
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Specialism in Art, with experience in related disciplines desirable
• Passion for creativity and student development
• Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
