An enthusiastic and skilled Art Teacher is required to join the vibrant and well-resourced Art department of an Outstanding mixed school in Haringey. This permanent full-time position, commencing in September, offers an exciting opportunity to inspire creativity and develop artistic skills in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).

Responsibilities

• You will plan and deliver engaging Art lessons that explore a range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
• The role involves fostering students'' creativity, technical skills, and understanding of art history and cultural contexts.
• You will cultivate a stimulating and inclusive studio environment where every student feels empowered to experiment, express themselves, and develop their individual artistic voice.
• You will assess and monitor student progress with care, providing constructive feedback that encourages their artistic development and critical thinking.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Art and Design is essential.
• Experience teaching engaging and effective Art lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
• A strong knowledge of art history, contemporary art practices, and various artistic techniques is expected.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to inspire a passion for the arts, are vital.
