The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Telford is seeking a creative, passionate, and dedicated Art & Design Teacher to join its successful department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis.
The successful candidate will teach Art & Design across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage students to develop their creativity, technical skills, artistic confidence, and understanding of a wide range of artistic disciplines.
You will plan and deliver high-quality practical and theory-based lessons, assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will encourage students to experiment with different techniques, materials, and creative approaches while supporting them to develop their own artistic style and achieve their full potential.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or have relevant teaching experience
  • Have experience teaching Art & Design across KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering practical and theory-based Art lessons
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a genuine passion for Art & Design and creative education
