Art and Design Technology Technician - Greenwich - September start Salary£100 to £120 per day.Job DescriptionThe Art and Design Technology Technician provides essential technical support to teaching staff and students within the art and design technology department. The role involves preparing and maintaining materials, equipment and resources, ensuring a safe working environment, and assisting with the practical delivery of lessons and projects. The technician contributes to the smooth operation of the department by managing stock, repairing tools and machinery, and supporting creative activities in line with curricular requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare materials, equipment and resources required for practical lessons in art, design and technology.Maintain and organise tools, machinery and workspaces to ensure safety and efficiency.Support teaching staff during lessons by setting up equipment and demonstrating techniques where required.Assist students with the use of equipment and materials, providing guidance on safe and effective practises.Manage stock levels, order supplies and maintain accurate records of materials and equipment usage.Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools, machinery and equipment.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe storage of hazardous materials.Keep up to date with developments in art and design technology to provide relevant technical advice and support.Support ..... full job details .....
