Alecto Recruitment is working with a well-established energy and power generation company who are seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of gas and power generation sites in the South of England.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Oversee day-to-day operations of gas fields, reciprocating assets, and gas peakers to maximise safe availability and electrical output.
• Provide efficient supervision, coordination, and guidance to area technicians.
• Conduct frequent scheduled site inspections and manage completion of outstanding jobs and H&S improvement tasks.
• Provide 24-hour emergency call-out cover and oversee out-of-hours trading alongside the Remote Asset Supervisor.
• Ensure site operations remain compliant with all relevant contracts, licences, and agreements.
• Supervise contractor activity, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage spares ordering, stock control, and auditing of site and regional storage facilities.
• Support maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and associated equipment.
• Liaise with clients and site management on a day-to-day basis.
• Monitor and manage operating costs, reducing contractor reliance where economically prudent.

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience supervising individuals and teams in an operational environment.
• Recognised qualification or demonstrated competency in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Experience with peaking plant, CHP, and trading operations.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental practices.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• IT literate with experience using operational management systems.
• Full UK driving licence (manual van) required.
• Gas Safe, HV Switching, and 18th Edition qualifications advantageous.
