Area Sales Manager

Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager on behalf of our client is a leading supplier of lighting products, with a strong portfolio that caters to both electrical wholesalers and contractors. The Area Sales Manager will play a key role in driving the demand creation and growth of market share within their designated region. The position is an all-encompassing area management role, responsible for managing relationships with both existing and potential customers while providing comprehensive sales support. The role involves a mix of both strategic account management and demand generation activities, ensuring that the company''s products and services are promoted effectively to meet the needs of wholesalers and contractors alike. The key responsibilities of this role as an Area Sales Manager: Manage a portfolio of electrical wholesaler accounts, including nationals, independents, and buying groups. Identify new business opportunities and establish new distributor partnerships to drive growth in the region. Actively engage with electrical contractors and installers by offering design support, promoting the benefits of the company s products. Conduct joint sales calls, trade counter mornings, and product training sessions to build relationships with local contractors.
