Area Operations Manager

About the Role

We''re looking for an experienced and commercially focused Area Operations Manager to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven multi-site leader who thrives on developing high-performing teams, improving operational standards, and delivering exceptional commercial results.

You will be responsible for overseeing multiple retail food locations, ensuring each site achieves its sales, profitability, customer service, and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and profitability across multiple sites.
• Monitor and manage store performance using weekly and monthly P&L reports.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and support Store Managers and their teams.
• Build strong relationships with centre managers, landlords, and local stakeholders.
• Champion a positive company culture and employee engagement.
• Lead customer service initiatives to create an outstanding customer experience.
• Conduct regular operational audits and implement continuous improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and company policies.
• Monitor cash controls, stock management, margins, and gross profit performance.
• Support and oversee employee relations matters, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.

About You

• Minimum 2 years'' experience in a multi-site management role within food retail or hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, sales targets, and profitability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident analysing performance data and implementing improvement strategies.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
