Area General Manager

An Area General Manager is required in Greater London to lead the strategic, operational and financial performance of a portfolio of HVAC-focused contracts.

You''ll manage Contract Managers and Supervisors while taking responsibility for client relationships, commercial performance, contract growth and the safe delivery of commercial air conditioning and chiller services.

The Role
 
As the Area General Manager, you''ll:

• Lead the strategic development and performance of a portfolio of HVAC contracts.
• Manage Contract Managers and Supervisors, including recruitment, development and succession planning.
• Develop financial plans covering revenue, profit, WIP, debt, costs and contract growth.
• Grow existing contracts through additional services, projects and successful re-tenders.
• Maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with senior management across the business.
• Oversee contract reviews, audits and controls to meet statutory and contractual requirements.
• Ensure safe working practices and appropriately competent engineering teams across the portfolio.

About You
 
To be successful as the Area General Manager, you''ll have:

• Managerial experience at Contract Manager level within an HVAC-led business.
• Technical experience across commercial air conditioning and chiller systems.
• Proven recruitment, line management and supervisory experience.
• Current knowledge of ACOPs, F-Gas, fire and environmental control measures.
• Knowledge of building control requirements and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Strong commercial, numerical, communication and client relationship skills.
• A good general education, ideally to degree or HND level.

Experience delivering wider facilities management services and developing and appraising teams would be advantageous.
