Architectural Technologist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled Architectural Technologist to join our growing design team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative design concepts and technical reality. You will be responsible for transforming initial architectural concepts into detailed, regulation-compliant construction packages, detail drawings, and technical specifications.The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of building anatomy, construction regulations, and material science, backed by high proficiency in either AutoCAD or Vectorworks (proficiency in both is a major plus). You will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered accurately, sustainably, and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Documentation: Prepare and coordinate detailed drawing packages, tender documents, and construction drawings using AutoCAD or Vectorworks.Detailing and Specifications: Create robust, high-quality construction details (roofing, cladding, waterproofing, etc.) and write comprehensive material specifications.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local Building Regulations, planning policies, and health and safety standards.Collaboration and Coordination: Work alongside internal design teams and external consultants (structural engineers, MEP, etc.) to integrate technical systems into the architectural design.Site Support: Attend site meetings, conduct surveys, and respond to Requests for ..... full job details .....
