Greater Manchester | Hybrid / Flexible Working

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join a highly respected, design-led architectural practice working across a diverse range of projects throughout the UK.

We are currently working with an established RIBA Chartered architectural practice that is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Architectural Technologist.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of architecture, takes pride in producing high-quality information and wants to play a key role in taking projects from concept through to construction.

The Opportunity

You''ll join a friendly, collaborative team and work across the practice''s Residential, Commercial and Education sectors, contributing to technically challenging projects alongside leading clients and construction industry partners.

You''ll take ownership of the development and coordination of technical information, helping to turn architectural concepts into robust, practical and buildable solutions.

The role will involve working closely with architects, consultants and project teams, coordinating design information and helping ensure projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate detailed architectural and technical information.
  • Lead elements of the detailed design process through to construction.
  • Translate design concepts into practical, technically robust and buildable solutions.
  • Coordinate information with internal teams, consultants and other project stakeholders.
  • Produce and develop detailed drawings and information using Revit.
  • Manage and respond to design changes throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure technical information complies with relevant construction standards and legislation.
  • Apply a strong understanding of Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and associated legislation.
  • Work with NBS specifications and relevant construction information.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive and genuinely team-focused environment.

What We''re Looking For

We''re keen to hear from experienced Architectural Technologists who can demonstrate:

  • 5+ years'' post-qualification experience working within the UK.
  • CIAT registration or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven experience in detailed design and technical delivery.
  • Strong Revit experience.
  • Knowledge of BIM Level 2 would be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of NBS and relevant construction standards.
  • A thorough understanding of Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
  • The ability to solve technical problems and develop buildable solutions.
  • Confidence coordinating information and managing design changes.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
