Architectural Technologist

ARA Architects is a well-established architectural practice based in Dorking, Surrey within easy reach of the M25 and central London.- The primary focus of the practice is that of designing new residential homes, and adapting and extending existing homes, throughout the South of England for clients with a wide range of disabilities, incorporating assistive technology, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy facilities, homes that both enable and empower.

Due to a consistent increase in workload ARA, is seeking to expand their office by inviting enthusiastic candidates looking to further their careers by joining our small, but dedicated, team.-

Architectural Technologist

We are seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic architectural technologist to support our increasingly busy team of architects. You will be required to work closely with the project architects in taking projects forward through RIBA Work Stages 2-5, with proven experience of contract administration.

The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of current Building Regulations and CDM Regulations and will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCad and Revit. Ability to create illustrative 2D and 3D proposals in Revit and SketchUp would be beneficial.

Key Requirements:

• RIBA/CIAT Part II qualified
• Proven experience in contract administration
• Ability to work collaboratively supporting architects
• Evidence of detailed design, tendering and contract administration
• Sound knowledge of Town Planning Policies, Building Regulations and CDM Regulations
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCad
• Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop would be an advantage
• Knowledge of NBS scheduling
• Full UK driving licence and car would be essential.
