Architectural Technician

Role: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Location: Cheshire (near Macclesfield)
Contract: Full-time, Office Based (Mon-Fri, 08:30-17:30)

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join a well-established residential developer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will ideally join us in advance of 1st October to allow for a smooth handover period.

You''ll be working within a busy technical team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality housing developments. This role involves preparing and coordinating technical drawings and construction information to support new-build residential schemes from design through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Producing accurate technical drawings and detailed construction packages for housing developments.
- Liaising with consultants, local authorities, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Preparing and submitting information for planning and building regulation approval.
- Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and technical standards.
- Supporting project delivery across RIBA stages, through technical design and construction stages.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician within the residential / housebuilding sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Solid knowledge of UK building regulations and construction processes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively within deadlines.
