An opportunity has arisen to work on a variety of exciting residential developments with this well-established property/Housing developer. They specialise in the design and construction of both social housing and private dwellings. Their projects range from small developments to large-scale, mixed-tenure housing schemes, often on greenfield sites.They are currently seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join their team and support the delivery of high-quality housing developments.You will work in a supportive working environment within a growing property development company.Responsibilities
Prepare and develop detailed design drawings and technical information using AutoCAD.Manage and submit planning applications, including liaising with planning departments and addressing any feedback.Liaise effectively with building control officers to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.Revise and adapt drawings as projects evolve, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Work closely with internal teams and external consultants to support the design and build process.Assist in preparing design packages for tender and construction.Provide technical support throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to completion.Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 3 TO 4 years proven experience in residential design, ideally within housebuilding or property development.Strong knowledge of UK planning processes, policies, and procedures.Proficiency in AutoCAD; additional CAD BIM software knowledge is advantageous.Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with planning departments, building control, and other stakeholders.Ability to adapt and respond quickly to project changes and design amendments.Experience in both social housing and private residential developments advantageous.Knowledge of building regulations and standards relevant to housing.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.Self-motivated and organised with excellent time management.Strong IT and computer literacy skills.Further Information
