Architectural Glazing Designer

Duties & Responsibilities for Designer role:
-    Reviewing scope of works and architects’ drawings to understand our remit.  
-    Preparation of shop drawings for client’s comment/ approval – we have a catalogue of standard details which can be used to create drawings. 
-    Liaising with project teams during the design process ensuring that the client receives a high level of service, that any questions are answered promptly and that drawings are amended in accordance with comments. 
-    The preparation of construction issue drawings once our site survey is completed, or we have received site sizes from our client. 
-    Preparation of take offs/ cutting lists for our project management/ procurement department. 
-    Being involved with the handover process to our project management/ procurement team – answering any questions which the project manager may have regarding the project or design. 
-    Working to individual targets set to you for work in progress and approval values. 

- Ideally 2 - 3 years experience working in bespoke design

Requirements for Designer role: 
-    Excellent AutoCAD 2D skills. 
-    The ability to read and understand drawings/ survey information. 
-    Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) for when liaising with clients, architects and our internal teams. 
-    Willing to learn about new products and systems. 
-    The ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and work to company targets.  

- Ability to supervise a small team and be flexible with work loads 
-    Candidates with glazing experience or experience with a similar trade would be preferable. (Custom Joinery, Kitchens, bathrooms etc)
-    Must live within a commutable distance of HP6 6JQ. 

Performance bonus offered for meeting targets. Salary negotiable for higher experience /  advanced Design background.

The designer will be supported by a strong team.
