A friendly, welcoming practice that operates in a broad spectrum of sectors, delivering projects in Residential, Education, Commercial and Leisure, is currently seeking a talented Architect to join their Birmingham city centre based office.The PracticeThis RIBA chartered Architectural practice has been in operation for nearly 20 years and has developed into a highly reputable company, delivering high quality projects in varied sectors. The practice has grown at a sustainable rate and has fared well over the last 2-3 years due to its varied sector coverage and stellar reputation. The company operates solely out of Birmingham, with a team of just over 20 people made up of Architects, Architectural Technologists, Architectural Assistants and the recent development of an Interior Design team.As an Architect you will be joining a RIBA chartered practice that operates in a wide range of sectors, which include Commercial, Education, Residential, Sports, Leisure, Transportation and more. If you’re an Architect who likes variety in their work and the challenge of working in different sectors regularly, this could be the perfect position for you. The practice is up to date with modern software systems, and has successfully integrated Revit into the company. Located very close to Birmingham city centre, the office is a 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street station and 7 minutes from Moor Street station, making it ideal for rail commuters. The practice has a private, gated car park.Role
The role on offer is for an Architect with approximately 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally someone accustomed to working on large scale projects in the Mixed-Use or Commercial sectors. You’ll be working on multi-million pound schemes based both in the UK and internationally. This is an opportunity to showcase design flair, with emphasis on early stages of the RIBA plan of work (stages 1-4). Delivery experience will be looked upon favourably but isn’t essential.As an Architect, you will be working both autonomously and as part of a team, so you must be comfortable in both settings. Project running experience would be beneficial, and for those seeking to gain project running experience, this is a great opportunity.The practice utilizes AutoCAD and Revit predominantly, so prior experience with these packages is highly advantageous. AutoCAD proficiency is essential, while Revit experience is desirable and training can be provided.Responsibilities
Work on multi-million pound schemes in the UK and internationally, across commercial and mixed-use sectors.Contribute to early RIBA stages 1-4 with a focus on design flair and concept development.Collaborate autonomously or as part of a team; contribute to project running where possible.Use AutoCAD and Revit to produce design and technical drawings; training for Revit can be provided if needed.Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Fully qualified Architect with UK recognised Part 1, 2 and 3 qualifications.ARB registrationRIBA chartered (desirable)At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally delivering large-scale commercial or mixed-use projects.Passion for design and ability to showcase it in the early RIBA stages.Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Eligibility to work within the UK is essential.Salary and Benefits
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package dependant on experience, likely to be in the region of £38,000–£44,000 per annum.How to Apply
