Architect
Following continued growth in our partnered clients Education sector workload, we are seeking a talented Architect to join the Leeds studio of an esteemed AJ100 Architectural Practice.

This is a delivery-focused role for a confident Architect with strong technical expertise and a previous track record of working ON education projects through the construction stages. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality learning environments across primary, secondary, SEN, further, and higher education sectors.
Working closely with the Studio Director, you will take responsibility for the technical, commercial, and construction-stage performance of projects, acting as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities – Architect
Project Delivery & Management
- Lead technical and construction-stage delivery of education projects to DfE or equivalent standards
- Plan, manage, and monitor programmes, resources, risk, and change control
- Ensure accurate, timely issue of technical information in line with contractual, statutory, and BIM requirements
- Chair and contribute to design, technical, and site meetings
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, and consultant performance through to project close-out, including as-built and handover documentation
Technical Leadership & Quality
- Lead the production, coordination, and review of technical information
- Act as technical lead for BIM coordination and clash resolution
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, CDM, and DfE requirements
- Promote robust, sustainable, and buildable design solutions
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, motivate, and mentor project teams during delivery stages
- Act as a key interface with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Build strong working relationships to support smooth project delivery
- Report project progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Architect with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience
- Proven experience delivering education projects at RIBA Stages 4–5
- Strong Revit and BIM coordination capability
- Confident leader with excellent client- and contractor-facing skills
- Strong understanding of construction-stage risk, change control, and technical delivery
Desirable
- Part III qualified and ARB registered
- Experience working within CF21 or similar education frameworks
- Knowledge of DfE processes and technical standards
- Experience across primary, secondary, or SEN education projects
- Strong presentation and communication skills
