Rail & Infrastructure Projects Location: South East / Anglia Region
Salary: £38,000 + 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role We are recruiting for an Arboriculturist to join us and work on specialist environmental and rail contracts, working on a wide range of projects across the Anglia and South East regions.
This role offers a mix of technical arboricultural assessments, survey work and practical site support, with opportunities to deliver solutions for major infrastructure and rail clients. You will be part of a collaborative team, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out tree surveys, risk assessments and reports in line with BS5837 and industry standards
- Supporting the development of vegetation management and arboricultural strategies
- Liaising with local councils on Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and planning requirements
- Working alongside ecologists and environmental specialists on integrated projects
- Overseeing and advising on safe tree works and site clearance within a rail environment
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations (CDM2015, ISO standards)
- Relevant qualification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or Countryside Management
- Demonstrable experience in arboricultural surveys and reporting
- Knowledge of TPO legislation and BS5837 surveys
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- LANTRA / NPTC chainsaw and climbing competencies
- Prior experience within rail, utilities or infrastructure projects
- Membership of a professional body (e.g. Arboricultural Association)

Location Applicants are welcome from across the Anglia and South East regions, including Essex, Kent, Sussex and Cambridgeshire. Travel to sites will be required.
