Approved Electrician – Domestic & Commercial
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
ARC is recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Approved Electrician to work across domestic and commercial projects in Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for a qualified electrician who is confident in delivering installations, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding to a high standard while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installations in both domestic and commercial environments.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Undertake inspection and testing of electrical systems, completing certification as required.
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Work independently or as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate job records through the company’s operating system.
- Provide clear communication and professional service to clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS7671).
- AM2 and Approved Electrician status desirable.
- Experience working in both domestic and commercial settings.
- Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
