Apprentice PlumberFrom £27,282 a yearAs a full-time soldier, in an entry-level Plumber role, you''ll: Study plumbing and pipe fittings Learn to install and maintain heating systems including plumbing and pipework Learn how to make heat-loss calculations Become proficient in basic technical drawingsHeating and plumbing are essential to the Army. Every building, from bases in Europe tohospitals in the UK to temporary camps in Africa needs to be warm and plumbed. As aplumber, we''ll train you to look after the systems at these sites across the world and pick upqualifications that will set you up with a great career within and beyond the Army. You''ll stillbe a soldier, and that means you''ll go through basic training and expected to maintain adecent standard of fitness while you''re with us.To qualify, you must be between 16 years 6 months and 35 years 6 months and pass a basicfitness test.Set yourself up for life.During your initial training, you''ll earn £27,282. If you set your mind to it, you could reachCorporal within 5 years, earning £40,989.You''ll also receive 30 days'' annual leave every year (plus bank holidays and extra leaveafter operations), free medical and dental care, cheaper living costs, and free gym andsports facilities.
