Appointed Person / Temporary Works Coordinator We are looking for an experienced Appointed Person / Temporary Works Coordinator to join a major civil engineering project. The successful candidate will have a strong background within heavy civils, infrastructure or major construction projects, together with a good understanding of safe digging practices and working around underground services/utilities. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage temporary works activities across site. Ensure temporary works are planned, designed, checked and implemented safely. Liaise with site teams, engineers, designers and subcontractors. Support the planning and coordination of excavation and groundworks activities. Ensure safe systems of work are followed when working around underground services and utilities. Review relevant temporary works documentation, permits, designs and site requirements. Identify potential temporary works and excavation-related risks. Carry out site inspections and ensure works are completed in accordance with agreed procedures. Promote a strong health and safety culture across the project. Requirements Previous experience as an Appointed Person, Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or within a similar temporary works position. Strong experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, heavy civils or major projects. Good working knowledge of temporary works procedures.
